Despite the incredible potential of cloud-based, real-time digital technology, we are not meeting the urgent pressures on healthcare delivery. MedStack was introduced at a digital health conference<\/div>

Co-founders Balaji Gopalan and Simon Woodside introduced the concept of MedStack and demonstrated how health data from a wearable device could be surfaced in a compliant and secure cloud interface.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>

MedStack completed several accelerator programs<\/div>

In May of 2016, we took part in\u00a0Dreamit Health<\/a>, a growth-focused health tech accelerator backed by Independence Blue Cross and Penn Medicine. This experience helped us expand into the U.S. and get our first U.S. customers.<\/p>

That same year, we completed the\u00a0Creative Destruction Lab<\/a>\u00a0program in Toronto, in a cohort of high-profile startups, which helped us set product development objectives and sharpen our story, leading to investment from several prominent angel investors.<\/div><\/div>

In 2017, after four whirlwind months in California, we wrapped up our time in the\u00a0500 Startups Seed Program<\/a>\u00a0with Batch 21\u2019s Demo Day for which we were honoured as a top pick from TechCrunch. Raised $1.8M USD in an Oversubscribed Seed Round<\/div>

We closed a $1.8M ($2.4M CAD) round led by TELUS Ventures, with ScaleUP Ventures, Panache Ventures and BCF Ventures. Ontario Centres of Excellence added to their existing investment with this round, and several other previous investors doubled down in participation.<\/p><\/div><\/div><\/div>
