Summary
Maturation of a Medic was made between 1942 and 1944, while Telford Work was a student at Stanford University Medical School. It differs from his other films, which document his fieldwork and travels. It has the feel of a well-made home movie, both more personal and more constructed. Unlike Work’s other films, it also includes handmade titles before almost every scene.
