Cagatay Barut, MD, PhDProfessor of Anatomy, Faculty of Medicine, Bahçeşehir University, Istanbul, TurkeyCagatay Barut, MD, PhD was graduated from Gazi University School of Medicine in 1995 and held his PhD degree in 2001. He was appointed as an assistant professor of anatomy at Bulent Ecevit University (formerly Zonguldak Karaelmas University) School of Medicine in 2001 and as an associate professor in 2009 and as a professor in 2014. He was appointed as a professor in 2015 at Bahçeşehir University School of Medicine. He has 55 international publications, 65 international presentations in international congresses and 295 citations in indexed international scientific journals. He is the Interim Chair of the College of Representatives of the IFAA (International Federation of Associations of Anatomists) and member of executive committee of IFAA. He is the vice president of Turkish Society of Anatomy and Clinical Anatomy (TSACA). He is an associate editor of ANATOMY (International Journal of Experimental and Clinical Anatomy). He is also in the editorial boards of Journal of Morphological Sciences, Acta Medica International and ISRN Anatomy. His research interests are radiological anatomy, clinical anatomy, anatomy education, laterality, morphometric analysis, geometric morphometry, and anthropometry. Besides his academic career, he is interested in photography and medical illustration.
