My name is Sammy 👋
As a Security Architect, Engineer, and U.S. Army Veteran 🛡️, I have a passion for designing secure systems and sharing knowledge with the community.
I currently work at PwC as a Solution Security Architect, where I design and implement robust security solutions that protect critical assets and support business objectives. My journey began as a Security Engineer, where I honed my skills in vulnerability management, endpoint hardening, detection engineering, and global security initiatives.
Before transitioning into security, I worked in IT support roles that gave me a strong foundation in networking, system administration, and troubleshooting. This technical background has been invaluable in understanding the complexities of modern infrastructures.
My career is also shaped by my service as a U.S. Army Veteran. During my time in the Army, I led soldiers in challenging environments, developing leadership skills and a deep appreciation for discipline, teamwork, and resilience. These experiences taught me how to manage risk and make decisions under pressure qualities that I bring to my work in cybersecurity.
Beyond my professional roles, I am passionate about building and sharing technology. I maintain a homelab 💻 where I experiment with new tools and techniques, constantly learning and innovating. I regularly write about cybersecurity topics on my blog ✍️, sharing insights, best practices, and emerging trends with the community.
I also contribute to open-source projects 🌍, helping to create tools that improve security for everyone. You can explore some of my work in the projects 💻 section of my site.
Coding is a passion of mine; I enjoy developing scripts and applications that automate tasks and solve complex problems.
At the core of my philosophy is the belief that security is not just about technology it’s about people, trust, and collaboration. Building secure systems requires understanding human behavior and fostering a culture where everyone plays a part in protecting our digital world.
