2 months, 4 weeks - In today's Daily Fix:The newly revamped Steam Machine has been the talk of the industry since its reveal last week. Unfortunately we don't know the price just yet, but Linus Sebastian over at Tech Tips doesn't think it'll be cheap. Sebastian recalled a conversation in which Valve acknowledged it won't be sold at a 'console price,' i.e., around $500. We here at IGN think it'll sell for—on the low end—$700-800. In other news, Battlefield 6 had a strong debut month, coming in at number one in game sales. Its closest competitor, Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, just dropped this month, so it remains to be seem who wins the holidays. And finally, Silent Hill 2 Remake is now available for Xbox Series X after being shadow dropped with a nice 50% discount.

3 months, 1 week - After more than a decade, Valve is launching a new Steam Machine, and while this little gaming PC is exciting on its own, it is the next step in Valve’s play to become the face of PC gaming – at least more than it already is. Because alongside the Steam Machine, Valve is also launching a new controller and the Steam Frame, a VR headset that itself runs on SteamOS. Combined with the Steam Deck, Valve now has the makings of its own gaming tech ecosystem.

3 months, 1 week - Valve has resurrected the Steam Machine, this time aiming to make a splash to own a corner of the PC market with a console-like PC meant to be a part of your living room. After the success of the Steam Deck, Valve is spinning up a family of Steam branded hardware in an effort to create an ecosystem that gives you access to your Steam Library pretty much anywhere you are. Designed to easily run most modern games at 4K, 60fps, the Steam Machine does not yet have a price, though you can expect it to be "competitively" priced to similarly spec'd hardware. An example of that hardware is a PC with an NVIDIA RTX 4060 GPU. The Steam Machine release date is still an unknown with an expectation to launch in early 2026 alongside the Steam Frame and the new Steam Controller. At the heart of the new Steam hardware family is SteamOS, exactly as it is on the Steam Deck.

3 months, 1 week - Steam Machines are back! This time around, Valve looking to bring the SteamOS experience to the living room with its own console-like mini gaming PC. We visited Valve to go hands-on with the device, and after an afternoon playing Cyberpunk 2077, Silent Hill f, and more, we're very excited to see more when it launches in early 2026.
