Flow sensor

Development support in MedTech

Self-managed teams – including product responsibility

Challenge

The manufacturing of devices and components in the MedTech sector is characterized by a high degree of complexity. The complexity of the Flowsensor project arises from the need to operate multiple test stations in parallel, including measuring instruments, PLCs, sensors, and actuators.
Manual or isolated order management systems lead to inefficiencies, documentation errors, and delays in batch release. Many existing MedTech solutions are not scalable, lack multithreading capabilities, or are difficult to integrate with existing production IT (e.g., MES/ERP).

Solution

Our Scrum team develops process control and monitoring solutions for the production of flow sensors in ventilators on-site at the customer's site. The team works independently, independently, or integrated into existing customer teams, assumes full product responsibility, and supports the project through to successful completion. The technologies used (C# with .NET, multithreading, process database integration, StateMachines) are modern and optimally tailored to industrial manufacturing and quality requirements, and the modules can be flexibly used for process control of other production systems.

Advantages

Agile development in 2-4 week sprints and early prototypes, such as for PLC control, significantly shorten development time. Modern architecture with microservices, containerization, and tested state machines, as well as documented interfaces, enables rapid implementation, maintainability, and extensibility. Consistent multithreading allows for parallel execution of multiple process steps and ensures high performance of the production plant. Regular reviews, clear milestones, and real-time progress reports in the project management tool ensure transparency, control, and minimize project risks.
