Yuan Fang
Yuan Fang’s innovative research lays at the interface of organic and materials chemistry. Her doctoral studies at KU Leuven focused on unravelling the structural-function relationship and fundamental science of molecular assemblies on surfaces using scanning probe microscopy (SPM) techniques. As a NSERC postdoctoral fellow at McGill University, Fang is interested in developing novel π-conjugated Covalent Organic Frameworks (COFs) and their implementation in optoelectronic devices (thin film field-effect transistors, photovoltaics, etc).

two-dimensional crystal growth are invoked for rationalizing this phenomenon and we present a set of experiments where the access to each pathway can be precisely controlled. These results demonstrate that a detailed understanding of subtle intermolecular and interfacial interactions can be used to induce drastic changes in the handedness of a supramolecular network.
