Just by looking at 44, we can see that it's divisible by 2, 4, 11, and 22. Even if we

couldn't spot 4, 11, and 22 right away, we could see that 44 is even, that is, it's

divisible by 2.

That's enough to establish that it's not prime, because it has at least one other factor

besides '1' and itself.
