[Link] | The complex analysis exam didn't go well per say; but I am pretty certain I passed, and I have heard rumours of a possible belling of marks, so I guess I'll wait and see.
The disadvantage of the late exam slot (7:30pm-10pm) is I end up too keyed up to go sleep, and hence why I am posting this rather past my usual bedtime (oh god, I am getting old, I have a usual bedtime, and it isn't 4am).
Tomorrow I start studying for my last exam on Friday morning.

The Wages of ... school work?
I have insomnia again. This is what I get staying up late Saturday night working on an assignment, and then wasting the beautiful day I hear Sunday was, glued in front of my computer, still working on that assignment. Should have gone for a walk, or something.
At least I got out on Saturday morning, right?
An assignment I thought was due on Tuesday has been moved to Thursday, and the midterm I kept thinking was on Wednesday is actually on Thursday. So, I may not have to commit suicide this week after all! I was all gearing up to go beg for an extension on that assignment too, so I am currently feeling very relived.
The next three weeks are going to be pretty heavy; but after that November is shaping up to be much easier than October. This last week is the first week I have regretted my insane course load; but the term is over half over, and only a few months after that, sleep, money and free time shall be mine. Well, relatively speaking of course.
Now to go drink some warm milk and hopefully start to get sleepy.

[Link] | It is kind of amazing how bodies accustum themselves to things. After a Summer of biking and/or walking everyday, two days of being sedentary have landed me here, posting on my LJ at 2am, with my old nemesis insomnia. Tommorrow there will be biking.
My long weekend has been mostly spent making tasty food, trying and failing to get my apartment cleaned up and some reading. I finally got around to reading "The Disposessed" on Saturday and enjoyed it. The funny thing is I expeccted 'anarchism' to resemble 'libretarianism' and whatever society they were rebelling against to resemble communism.
I am trying, mostly unsuccessfully, to not get upset about McCain's choice of running mate.
My parent's have moved without incident to, well, a different small town in Alberta; but this one doesn't have scary high crime and teen pregnancy rates. So, while it sounds queitly horrible and intolerant to me, it is an improvement from overtly horrible.
Everything is somewhat on hold right now. Work ended last Friday and school doesn't start until next Monday. For once I am appreciative of the break. I gather resources and strength before I head once more into the melee.

Good Morning
Hey, it's stopped snowing! Somebody is in the church parking lot beside my apartment clearing the snow away. What is he doing up at this ungodly with us insomniacs?....Right, it's actually 7am now.
CS 442 is progressing well. I made it through half of the assignment today. I got really hung up on Part B Question 2, trying to figure out the syntax of functors and signatures; but I've got it working now! Where now was 5 hours ago just before bed. I really like ML, even if I couldn't figure out that I can't use eqtype outside of a signature.
The ML coding parts of my midterm on Thursday went far too well given all the practice I had had was about 2 hours shortly before hand while spaced on pain killers. I am a little disappointed with the midterm; but given it occurred the same day as my worse (and indeed closest to full-blown) migraine in over 6 months, it went well.
This is the second night in a row of weird 'middle' of the night waking up and not falling back asleep for an hour. Last night it was crazy itchy feet; but tonight there is no apparent cause. Warm milk and back to bed for me.
