I am back in Waterloo. I got lucky, and my bus made good time to Toronto on Friday, and I was able to catch the earlier bus. The last few days I have bee doing nothing of note, mostly just spending all my time with Holden :-), and trying to meet with my friends. Our tendency to stay in bed till 5pm is making this tricky.

We went to Mel's for breakfast yesterday. There were kids running around. It felt weird to see kids in Waterloo.

So this week I have three midterms and one assignment. My groups and stats midterms are on Wednesday, and my models of computation assignment and midterm are both on Thursday, and then I get to see Holden again. :-)

Actually, it is not as bad as it seems. I am on top of groups and models of computation, the assignment has only one more question left to solve (Yes, they have bee solved; not dolved!!). Stats will probably own me. This evening will be stats time.

I had a really good weekend in Toronto visiting Holden. It was interesting interacting with adults for once. Holden got drunk; but didn't say too many damaging things. Tasty food of many kinds including , and my first dim sum and my first rum and coke.

Rain, rain, go away, come again some other day.

Sort of a weird saying anyway, if it is raining really hard, then why do we want a hard nasty rain to come back? Shouldn't we be wishing the rain will become lighter, or only come out when it is convenient for ourselves, like at 3am??

Still in Toronto, today is raining really hard, trying to stay in subways and underground walkways. I have decided I love subways, and could ride them for hours. The soothing little beeps, the rhythmic clicky-clacks, and the light swaying back and forth, all the while speeding underground from one lone lit island underground to another. It feels like the kind of weird thoughts I have just before falling asleep, or if I've just been awake too long.

We were going to leave some of my heavy unnecessary things in a locker in the bus station, so I wouldn't have to carry them everywhere; but all the lockers were taken, except for one, which ate my 2$. It is probably for the best, they looked very sketchy. I got wet trying to find the bus station.

I am writing from a coffee shop (surprise, surprise!). We were going to steal their internet access, and then noticed they had red hat on their terminals, and decided this was the sign we needed to throw money at them.

I am writing from a second cup in Markham. Arguably, this should not be a cause for much in the way of happiness; but it is so good to see Holden.

So far I have been in three coffee shops. I like coffee shops.

After three days of trying, I have finally done my group's assignment. When I say done, I mean solved all the questions. Nothing is written down, therefore my work is approximately 1/3 complete. I am not sure as to why it took me so long to get started on this assignment; fortunately it did not take me long to complete.

I think it is a good sign I think of my self as having put this assignment off perhaps too long, when it is not due until Wednesday. Tonight I will write up the solutions, and the last question for cs365, and again find myself without work.

Well, almost. I need to write out solutions to my stats problems. I have been trying to find out when the first quiz will be held. According to the course outline on UW-Ace (which is even more hideous than the rumours you have heard), the first quiz will be held on Wednesday, and the second on Wednesday, March 22. This statement, for the observant, does not in fact specify when the date of the first quiz. Is that next wednesday, or maybe the wednesday after that? Probably it will be in February. Knowing my luck it will be held on February 14th, followed by my group's midterm on February 15th and my CS 365 midterm on the 16th.

I am very thankful Holden will be coming on the 16th :-)

Another weekend wasted. I have finished my calculus assignment; and am writing up the solutions now. However, the night is young. Maybe I'll write up a detailed outline for my essay; and gather up some price examples for the MEF presentations on Wednesday, before I go home.

Actually, going home early might be a good investment of my time. Holden became convinced I had to go to class at 9am this morning and poked me until I got out of bed. I was thought he just wanted me to leave, and was kind of pissed off at him.
