From a very early age I discovered I very much liked two things: writing poetry and illustrating it and asking myself questions about Nature. I recently discovered a poem I wrote aged 7 about stars and the moon! Somehow these two traits led me to study Humanities during my High School years and Physics during my University. I am nowadays a torn person between these two worlds and I attempt at bridging them (to you to judge how well, I try!).
I am a physicist and I love to give shape to the physics which lives in my head. I also love to write short stories about physics with illustrations. I love public engagement and outreach activities and all sorts of unconventional teaching. I have taken part in dozens of teaching activities with all kinds of audiences, from primary school kids to Edinburgh Science Festival adult audience. Let’s spread the love for science!
Nowadays, I spend most of my time working as a Quantum Physicist. I have done several projects in many places around the world, in particular Edinburgh, Hamburg, Barcelona and Zurich. I am currently based in Zurich, on top of a hill which hosts several cows and labs in basements full of young scientists wearing laser glasses! I also like to reflect about the though life of girls in Physics.
I hope you’ll find a section of this blog which captures your interests 🙂 Happy diving!
