This is me...a good year after my last LJ post. I'm going to try to use it again. I have a plan. I'm not saying it's a good one, but it exists. Hopefully, I'll be writing some fanfic again.

I'm ridiculously excited for the Glee season premier tonight! Maybe I'll find some inspiration.

So, I took today off of work in order to get some writing done. I woke up to a phone call from work asking me to come in. I went to work, had a total Clerks day (You know, when everything goes wrong and you aren't even supposed to be here today?), came home, changed real quick so I could make it to my karate class, while making get together plans with my RL NaNo friends, almost got punched in the face while working on katas, then quickly changed into different pants, grabbed my one friend and the baby, ended up at another friends house, and now we're trying to get something written, but...

I'm just so freaking tired.

I only got maybe three hours last night and I was so busy all day. I just want to take a nap.



Current Word Count: 427

It's now two and a half hours into National Novel Writing Month. So far, I've managed to write 354 words, watch two episodes of Red Dwarf, drink a Monster, find a Red Dwarf mood theme, and get halfway through the process of applying said Red Dwarf mood theme to my LJ.

I'm truly, seriously, actually doing better now than I was at this time in the past three years.

I have tomorrow off and I'm tired, so I'm going to bed for now.

NaNoWriMo. I have an idea. I have a plot. I have some scenes roughly outlined. I am determined. I hope that determination holds out. I am also very nervous.

I am only 15mins into the series premier of the US version of Life on Mars and it is making me sick to my stomach. It just isn't right. They've made everything practically the same. I was expecting similarities, but not as exact as it's being. The beginning was the same. The shots were almost exact. As much as I love Harvey Keitel, the line "Don't waltz into my kingdom acting like king of the jungle." just doesn't sound right coming from him.

It's back on...and I'm back.

Even when he was knocking Jason O'Mara around it seemed wrong. Speaking of Jason O'Mara, he doesn't pull off the 'insane victim who toughs it out' like John Simm does. He just seems angry and pathetic. It is very early for me to be making judgments, though, I guess. Maybe I'm just not giving it the shot it deserves because of my devout loyalty to the UK version.

Hang on...okay.

It is so similar, that my brother asked me how I could not like this version. Well, because it feels awkward and doesn't fit right. Oh, look! They did the desk leap! It's still cool.

I don't like it, but I'll probably keep watching it. le sigh
