■ Creative Notes and Thanks for Your Support in the Poll
Hello everyone. I’m still struggling with a lingering dry cough these days, which is getting a little annoying.
Lately, I’ve begun to feel a sense of discomfort with simply going to work, and I find myself questioning the mismatch between that and my personal goals. Of course, I work to make a living, but when moving toward one’s true ambitions, these conflicts are hard to avoid. I wonder if the day will come when I can semi-retire.
Anyway, enough of the preamble—let’s talk about my creative work. Tomorrow at 7:30 PM, I’ll be releasing a new episode of The Last Trail.
Thank you so much to everyone who participated in the polls, both on X and on YouTube. The poll on X has just closed today, but the YouTube community poll remains open with no deadline, so feel free to vote anytime. The results were interesting—responses were split almost evenly between those interested in “ruins and locations” and those more focused on “characters.”
For narration, I use an app called ElevenLabs. It’s known for producing remarkably natural voices that hardly sound artificial, but earlier I often ran into issues where it would read tags (like laughs or sighs) literally instead of performing them. Recently, however, the accuracy seems to have improved dramatically. When I created the narration materials for this new video, there was only a single mistake. Not losing extra hours to those errors is a huge relief.
I had been uncertain whether to continue this project, but in the end, I decided to move forward. That’s because my ambition—or perhaps delusion—is to one day turn this into a game.
The Fallout series is an amazing franchise, rich in retro-futuristic post-apocalyptic atmosphere. But I always felt the world after nuclear war should be far harsher. That thought pushed me toward the idea: why not just make it myself? So I’ve been drawing upon all the post-apocalyptic movies I’ve seen and games I’ve played, channeling the imagination and knowledge I’ve gathered.
If such a dream were ever to come true, I wouldn’t be the one handling the technical side. Instead, I’d act as a director of sorts—providing ideas and steering the overall vision. At the core of it all would be the question: How do people survive? I want to capture both the terrifying and the beautiful sides of humanity. Naturally, I won’t shy away from expression. Brutality and gore will be included without hesitation. As for censorship? To hell with it.
There’s much more I could say, but if I start, this post would never end, so I’ll stop here. Honestly, when my uploads got little attention, I lost my temper the other day. But now I see this project not just as content, but as an investment in my future.
After all, what’s wrong with dreaming? That’s the mindset I’ve chosen to carry on with.
