The Secret Keepers. I was worried it wouldn't be as good as Mysterious Bennedict but it is!
Dogs on the Bed

I just picked up my mother from the airport. She was in BFE Minnesota meeting her boyfriend's family.
She hurls herself into my car and says, "You would not believe how horrible the food in Minnesota is. THEY DON'T HAVE GREEN CHILE!"

I'm reading a hearty amount of children's books this year in order to maintain my hope for the future.
Snail and Slug by Denys Cazet. Nobody else on goodreads seems to pick up that this is OBVIOUSLY a lesbian book. Check it out and let me know. It'll take you 2 minutes to read.
Steve, raised by Wolves by Jared Chapman. Hilarious.
Scar Island by Dan Gemeinhart. A modern Lord of the Flies with great pirate adults.
Solutions for Cold Feet and Other Little Problems by Carey Sookocheff xoxoxoo
Where's the Party by Ruth Chan. Oh god, the best one yet, maybe ever. You KNOW these people as giraffes and they might even be you. The Brownstone of the 1800's poster is Amazing. I'm buying this one.
Berlioz the Bear. Best illustrations.
Sad, the dog. One pallet of tissues please.
We have always lived in the castle. Remember life before Amazon? Sucked.
--------------
I am Hero 1 & 2. Japanese zombie manga. I love the Japanese.
Honorable Mention: Things too Huge to Fix by Saying Sorry. The grandmother is an excellent role model. I hope to be arrested that many times when I am old.
gows would agree.

I promised
shellynoir a poem this month.
Ann Taylor is too Bright
I cannot leave the house
My hair is not done
Blue eye shadow is worn by hipsters
and who wants to be associated with them
It's warm under the dog
This hot toddy won't fit in a mug
Snow is in the forecast
But... there are trousers on sale at Ann Taylor
Wool ones, lined, in my size
Fortunately, with the internet I can click buy.

I'd only read Moonglow if you end up being seriously invested in the Chabon family drama.
