
Awang Azman Awang Pawi
Associate Professor Dr Awang Azman Awang Pawi had served in the academia world for 18 years. The journey of his academic crossing the institutions such as Faculty Of Applied and Creative Arts, Center For Language Studies (Now Faculty of Language and Communication Studies), Nusantara Chair, Institute of East Asian Studies ( Now Institute of Borneo Studies) University Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) untill Guest Scholar at Leiden University, Netherlands. He has been involved in the Malay Studies for more than 20 years. He graduated in Malay Studies (UM) for his doctorate and Malay Letters for his Master of Arts (UKM) and Bachelor of Arts Second Class Upper (UKM)(Malay Letters and minor in History). He has researched, written and produced books, chapters in books, refereed journal papers (national and international), mass media and social media. Currently, he is a columnist for Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka, Kuala Lumpur and Sarawakvoice.com a social media for the Sarawak political affair. His interest in cross-discplinary field in Malay world culture, literature and heritage as well as Borneo ethnics and political culture. He is involved as a life member for Association of National Writer (PENA), Association of South-east Asian Studies in United Kingdom, European Association for Southeast Asian Studies (EUROSEAS), Southeast Asia Library Group and Sarawak Development Institute (SDI), Now, he is affiliated at Department of Socio-Culture, Academy of Malay Studies, Universiti Malaya.
