We’d love for you to visit the Clubhouse for Hardware Innovation Projects (CHIP)! Before you visit, please take a moment to review a few simple guidelines to help keep everyone safe.
Who’s considered a visitor:
- Club members who haven’t yet completed safety training
- Stanford students interested in exploring the space or joining a club
- Stanford faculty, staff, or other non-student affiliates
- External to Stanford guests attending a club event (alumni, recruiters, etc)
While you’re here:
- Visitors are welcome to look around, observe projects, and connect with club members, but can’t use tools, equipment, or contribute directly to an active project.
- All visitors should have a host, which can be any lab user fully authorized to use the space (has done the safety orientation and turned in all STARS trainings). Please stay with your CHIP-authorized host—they’ll help you navigate the space safely.
- Non-student visitors should sign in when they arrive and remain with their host during their visit.
- The kitchen area is available if you need a comfortable place to wait without your host.
Private vehicles are not permitted to be parked on premises except for the purposes of loading/unloading while the driver is on the premises. Exceptions can be made for visitors if arranged in advance with the CHIP Team.
Parking along the street is often open and free after 4pm M-F and completely open on weekends, so feel free to make use of those spots! In general, we encourage folks to use your bikes or scooters and lock them up outside at the bike racks. We ask that folks not bring scooters or bikes inside the building.
We are located at 473 Oak Rd, Stanford, CA 94305
