It is a project started by Ahmed Ibrahim as a move to spread the digital fabrication technology among everyone and anyone. That came from his fascination with how fast and easy these machines can turn ideas and sketches into reality and prototypes with almost no need for a previous tech background. The main goal of this project is to make easy-to-build, fully open-source, truly reproducible CNC machines that anyone can reproduce. Using popular, easy, and available components in the Egyptian market. Not only open-source! but also fully documented. To make it easy for anyone with or without technical knowledge to follow along and make his/her own machine. The Cairo30 3D-Printer
We are introducing the Cairo30 3D-printer! It’s our new premium creature with no compromises! The Cairo30 3D-printer is the culmination of our accumulated years of experience designing and producing open-source CNC machine kits.
The Cairo30 3D-printer is a fully Open-source, truly Reproducible 30x30x35cm 3D-printer with big features, unbeatable speed, and rigidity for such a small package.
Parts List
Below you can find all the parts that I used to build the Cairo30 3d-printer. The file is divided into mechanics and electronics you can easily print, export, and open on your computer. You can find it here!
Files
Below you can download DXF files, you can use those files to laser cut your 2D parts. Those should be cut out of 6 mm acrylic(you can use 6mm wood instead but we don’t recommend that). Choose your preferred colors and be unique 😉
If you are going to order or manufacture that on your own just simply send those files to any makerspace with a laser cutter machine. All DXF files are in mm.

You will also need some 3D printed parts, you can find all STL files in the ZIP archive below. Settings I use to print them: 40% infill, 0.2 mm layer height (with 0.4 mm nozzle).
