Skåne utgjorde i detta sammanhang inget undantag; alla de sociala och ekonomiska olikheter och politiska motsättningar som fanns i andra områden återfanns också här.t Den nationalstat som långt senare formades var ett resultat som 16ootalets aktörer knappast kunde forutse när de agerade for att nå kontroll över de underliggande områdena. Nationalstatens historia har sina lätt igenkännbara och tidsbundna karakteristika och de har till stora delar definierats som delar i en konstruerad berättelse. Denna berättelse rör r. J. H. Broen der byggede broer! 3 stigende intensitet, falder antallet af nye svenskere til 5.798, og i... more Broen der byggede broer! 3 stigende intensitet, falder antallet af nye svenskere til 5.798, og i 9 faldt antallet af nye svenskere på det danske arbejdsmarked yderligere til .99. Danskernes køb af fritidshuse i Sverige er også boomet efter broens åbning. Mere end procent af alle fritidshuse i Skåne, Halland og Blekinge er ejet af danskere. Den finansielle krise har understreget, at udviklingen i samfundsøkonomien har meget stor betydning for trafikken over Øresundsbron. Den er jo naturligt praeget af faldende eksport, af lavere aktivitet i erhvervslivet, af frygten for arbejdsløshed og af de faldende boligpriser i københavnsområdet. Men selv under krisen viser strukturaendringerne omkring Øresund sig at vaere meget staerke: Trods faldet i boligpriserne i København er nettotilflytningen til Sverige stadig stor, trods stigende arbejdsløshed i Danmark får svenskerne stadig job i København-og krisen har, som noget nyt, sat virkelig fart i den danske fritidstrafik til Sverige efter billige indkøb. Den trafik er vokset så meget, at den har kunnet opveje den konjunkturmaessige nedgang og holde broens trafikvaekst over nul i 9, hvilket er et saersyn, hvis vi ser på trafikken på andre straekninger, faerger, landegraenser etc. Vi taler om integrationen i det, vi kalder Øresundsregionen. Regionen er defineret ud fra sine administrationsmaessige og geografiske graenser: Den omfatter 3,7 miljoner mennesker, som bor i Skåne, på Sjaelland, på Lolland-Falster og på Bornholm. Regionens relevans er taettest knyttet til storbyerne København og Malmø. Det er her, de store forandringer er sket, det er her, optimismen kan aflaeses i antallet af byggekraner, ny arkitektur, ny forskning og udvikling, nye internationale hovedkvarterer etc. Men hele regionen-og også områder uden for-har gradvist fået en anderledes »centrum-periferi«-opfattelse. Den mentale geografi er forandret, og aktionsradius for oplevelser, indkøb, bolig eller arbejde er blevet aendret over et meget stort område og for rigtig mange mennesker. Et tydeligt eksempel herpå er, at Københavns Lufthavn i Kastrup-som er vital for hele regionens konkurrencekraft-nu betegnes som »vores lufthavn« af skåningene. De første trin på en integrationstrappe er praeget af nysgerrighed: Oplevelser, natur, kultur, sport etc. danner basis for de første nye ture til et nyt område. Efterhånden som de nysgerrige bevaeger sig opad på integrationsstigen, bliver kendskabsniveauet til det »nye« gradvist større: Du kan finde de bedste udstillinger, du udvider dit repertoire af madoplevelser eller finder fordelagtige indkøbsmuligheder. Endnu senere kommer måske bosaettelser eller arbejde, venner, familie etc. Det er den gaengse opfattelse af et integrationsforløb. Men i Øresundsregionen er rammerne blevet spraengt på flere forskellige fronter. Skatteaftalen, huspriserne i Dan-jacob vestergaard 4

Conviviality has lately become a catchword not only in academia but also among political activist... more Conviviality has lately become a catchword not only in academia but also among political activists. This open access book discusses conviviality in relation to the adjoining concepts cosmopolitanism and creolization. The urgency of today’s global predicament is not only an argument for the revival of all three concepts, but also a reason to bring them into dialogue. Ivan Illich envisioned a post¬industrial convivial society of ‘autonomous individuals and primary groups’ (Illich 1973), which resembles present¬ day manifestations of ‘convivialism’. Paul Gilroy refashioned conviviality as a substitute for cosmopolitanism, denoting an ability to be ‘at ease’ in contexts of diversity (Gilroy 2004). Rather than replacing one concept with the other, the fourteen contributors to this book seek to explore the interconnections – commonalities and differences – between them, suggesting that creolisation is a necessary complement to the already ¬intertwined concepts of conviviality and cosmopolitanism. Although this volume takes northern Europe as its focus, the contributors take care to put each situation in historical and global contexts in the interests of moving beyond the binary thinking that prevails in terms of methodologies, analytical concepts, and political implementations

Clearly, these are not the primary connotations to the concept that is currently becoming a buzz-word in academia, to the extent that one may even speak of a "convivial turn" within certain fields of the social sciences
