Mirai Robo Daltanias: 13 – 23 Re-Release Batch

daltaniousbatch13-23

FORM BLAZING SWORD!!!

I did say that the second re-release batch was coming soon.  Well, here it is!  The last of the previously released episodes of Daltanious have been re-released with brand new stylings to match the previous batch.

Just like Episodes 01-12, Episodes 13-23 received careful attention to detail to bring it up to the same quality.

Of course, titles were changed as a result.  The full list is at the bottom.

Now that this weight off my shoulders have been removed, I can finally move on to the newer episodes that I’ve wanted to release so much.  I’m sure you’ve all been waiting for them as well.

[EDIT:  “Daltanious: Robot of the Future” has been licensed by Discotek Media as “Future Robot Daltanious”.  Personally, I think “Daltanious: Robot of the Future” sound better, but whatever.  Anyway, be sure to support the official release when it comes out.  They grow up so fast!  ;_;]

Mirai Robo Daltanias: 01 – 12 Re-Release Batch

Daltanous Batch: Episodes 01-12 (Re-Released!!!)

Be forewarned, this will be TL;DR.

This has been more than three years in the making, but the first 12 episodes of “Daltanious: Robot of the Future” has been re-released!

These episodes have been rebuilt from the ground up.  Thanks to Musical_life, starseeker, and serenade_beta, the first twelve episodes of Daltanious has been vastly improved with the following:

Corrected scripts to make it more accurate
Original Intro used
Any artifacts from the foreign dubs has been removed
Brand new DVD-Quality RAWs
Scripts re-synched to match to the new RAWs.  (The earlier videos used transcoded public RAWs)
Fonts Muxxed into the MKV files themselves

I have learn a lot since making these videos as Daltanious was the first anime series I decided to attempt to fansub.  Artifacts that remained when putting the scripts through the infamous “Google Translator” treatment has been removed.  As a result, several names have changed.  Here’s a short list:

Akron Empire = Empire of Zaar
Emperor Nishimura = Emperor Parumion
Anteres = Atlaus

While working on the scripts from Italian to English via Google Translator, I stumbled across episodes of Daltanious that were dubbed in Spanish.  (Titled “Dartanias: El Robot Del Futuro”)    Since Spanish is much easier for me to understand, I gleaned onto as much information as I can from that to help with my subbed videos.  As a result, these videos are a vast improvement over the much earlier attempts I had made.

However, when the “Megapocolypse” had occurred, production on Daltanious came to a screeching halt as more people involved were needed to continue and to fix existing episodes.  After asking many, many people for help (most of which had declined), starseeker accepted though progress would be extremely slow.  (At the time, she was working on Blue Comet SPT Layzner, Heavy Metal L-Gaim, and Ginga Reppu Braiger with X-Nebula).  Sadly, she had to pull out of the project after only two episodes.  (I can’t blame her, really.)  Some time afterwards, I resumed my search and found serenade_beta, who volunteered with the task of fixing scripts for Daltanious existing and unreleased.  Combined with fixed scripts and better RAWs, these videos are ready for download!

Some of the episode titles have changed as well.  You’ll find the list at the bottom of this post.

You might see that some words are hard-subbed into the video itself.  Unfortunately, that couldn’t be avoided.  The DVD video source still used the Italian DVDs.

The batch torrent includes the first 12 episodes using this brand new format used.  The next 11, which will emcompass all episodes released, will be out some time in the future.  I don’t know when, but when that happens, the internet will have one hell of an earache from me shouting it out!

Big thanks goes to starseeker & serenade_beta (starseeker could only help on the first two episodes) for TL-checking the episodes!  Also, a big thanks to Musical_life for assisting as Quality Checker!  Once again, big thanks to TehKou of J2E-Pro for translating the intro and ending songs!

Episode 01:  Rise and Go to War! (Originally “Rise Up in a War!”)
Episode 02:  The Mysterious Third Robot
Episode 03:  Arise, Space Lion
Episode 04:  Kento, Emperor of the Future
Episode 05:  The Unbreakable Bond of Seven
Episode 06:  Kamerotto Appears!
Episode 07:  Kento Will Live How He Desires!
Episode 08:  I Want a Mother
Episode 09:  Jump, Jump, and then Cry (Orignally: “Fighting, Fighting and Crying”)
Episode 10:  The Stone-Throwing Method of Anger (Originally: “The Destination of a Grain of Hatred”)
Episode 11:  The Last Residents of Tokyo
Episode 12:  Save Sanae!  The Dreaded Space Virus

They grow up so fast!  ;_;]

Uchuu Majin Daikengou: 07 – 09

First of all, I want to apologize for the lengthy delay in this release.  Two months ago, I had a medical emergency that was unavoidable that rendered me unable to release or work on any subs.  I’m much better now, so thank you for understanding.

Also, blind51de has been bombarded with multiple projects, so he was unable to assist in these episodes.  In his place, I’ve enlisted another translation checker: Kiseki 83.  This selfless person was able to do translation checking on these scripts.  Also, Onibaba did some spot translation checking in Episodes 07 and 09.  Please, thank them both for assisting in making these subbed videos come to fruition.

As usual, this is a joint project with TMUSubs.  Episodes 07 & 09 used the Spanish dub as a base, translated by myself and BendesidaOty whereas Episode 08 used the Italian dub, translated by Griffon.

In Episode 07, titled “The Peaceful Third Planet”, both General Roboleon and Prince Ryger learns of a faraway planet that has been unknown to the rest of the universe… Planet Earth!  After Ryger lands on Earth, he befriends a young boy named Sabu and brings him on board Daikengo to show him the wonders of the universe.  I guess no one told Sabu, “Don’t go with strangers!”

daikengo08

In Episode 08, titled “Treacherous Planet of Love”, Prince Ryger and his entourage lands on the rural Planet Cobram… just in time to find a girl named Yurika who was bitten by a venomous space cobra.  Ryger has to go to the nearby Planet Cimpel for the antidote.  Of course, Lady Baracross and Roboleon has plans for taking over and finishing off Ryger once and for all.

daikengo09

In Episode 09, titled “The Oath of Duplicate Stars”, we are introduced to a new character from Emperius… a young swordsman named Antonian (Antonio in the Spanish Dub) who happens to be a close friend of Ryger’s brother, Zamson.  Unfortunately for Antonian, he is later killed by a Magellan spy, sent by Roboleon, to drive a wedge in the friendship between Prince Ryger and Bryman.

Now, I’m going to discuss the voice actors of the two bad guys, General Robleon and Lady Baracross, of this show.

Lady Baracross was voiced by Keiko Tomochika.  Most of her roles has been supporting characters from various anime shows.  In the eight episode of “Shinzou Ningen Casshan”, she voiced the character Youko.  She was also the voice of Jiro in “Mahou no Mako-Chan” and Akiko in “Brave Fighter of the Sun, Fighbird”.

As for General Roboleon, he was voiced by the late Takeshi Aono.  Some of his roles include Gwen Khan & Swanzo of “Outlaw Star”, Kami and Piccolo Daimaou in “Dragon Ball”, Shigure Aotsuki in the “Ushio & Tora” OAVs, and Joe Kuruma in “Hurricane Polymar” and the “Shin Hurricane Polymar” OAV.  Sadly, Takeshi Aono suffered an aortic dissection in May 2010, and died almost two years later.

Super Cool Batch!!!! UFO Senshi Dai Apolon 1-16

UFO_Senshi_Dai_ApolonThe new year is upon us!  Here’s some cool old-mecha-anime treatment for those Icy Winter days!

Now that we’re more than half-way in our releases, why not making a super batch with super re-styling and re-timing?  Of course!

The V3 is so TV Safe Line guaranteed, it’ll make you do backflips! Also, I added chapters!  Cool, huh?

These files are all re-timed with higher standards because I gained good timing experience as of late.  These episodes are also encoded as CFR to reduce playing problems.  Therefore, no patches will be provided for older releases.

Uchuu Majin Daikengou: 04 – 06

The first release of the new year for Luurah Productions is out!  This time, it’s for episodes 4, 5, and 6 of Uchuu Majin Daikengo, our joint project with TMUSubs.

Episode 4, titled “Two Straying Stars”, follows up on what had happened on the previous episode.  Cleo feels ashamed that her own father had sided with the Magellan Empire.  Therefore, she decides to take matters into her own hands which doesn’t end as well as she had hoped.

Episode 5, titled “The Asteroid of Friendship”, begins Prince Ryger’s quest through the universe, stopping on Planet Landon.  Ryger has his first face-to-face meeting with the mysterious vagabond warrior, Bryman.  As for Cleo and the robot brothers, they ended up stranded on Planet Landon with several refugees from Planet Menia who are under siege by Roboleon, and it’s up to Prince Ryger to save them all.

Episode 6, titled “Farewell, Guerrilla Planet”, has Ryger and company landing on the faraway Planet Dalmas where General Hyde of Dalmas is under attack by local guerrillas.  However, the local guerrillas, spearheaded by Cecyl, want to overthrow General Hyde and purge the Magellan threat from Planet Dalmas as General Hyde is under Roboleon’s thrall.  Ryger teaches Cecyl an important lesson about how fighting for peace is much more important than fighting with hate.

I know I mentioned Cleo’s voice actress, Horie Mitsuko.  I forgot to talk about Prince Ryger’s voice actor, Hiroya Ishimaru.  He has also had many voice roles over the years.  Some of them include Dicky in “Choujin Sentai Baratak”, Giron in “God Mazinger”, and “Tiger” Ozaki from the second “Ashita no Joe” TV series …but his most famous voice actor role is of Koji Kabuto from “Mazinger Z”, which he later reprised in “UFO Robo Grendizer” and several Mazinger Z movies as well.  (When Discotek Media finally releases Mazinger Z on DVD in English, everyone who purchases the set can finally hear Hiroya Ishimaru in his most famous voice actor role.)

Uchuu Majin Daikengou: 01 – 03

Surprise, surprise!  Another new project has been announced!  This new project is the obscure 1978 super robot title, Uchuu Majin Daikengo!

When Toei Douga tried to bring this title internationally, it used the title, “Daikengo, Guardian of Space”.  The only countries that Daikengo was released internationally were Italy, Spain, and Korea.  However, I’m releasing these unofficial subs using a literal translated title, “Cosmic Devil Daikengo”.  (As a side note, the only reason this mecha is labelled a “devil” is because the robot’s faceplate splits open to reveal a fanged mouth that spits fire.)

As for the anime itself, this is what it’s all about…

The kingdom of Emperius, which benevolently rules the entire galaxy is under attack by armies from Planet Magellan.  On the faraway planet of Lama, a cadre of soldiers were sent there under command of Prince Zamson of Emperius.  However, Lama was devastated and Prince Zamson was assassinated by General Roboleon of Magellan.  (Roboleon gets his name simply because he wears a hat that resembles one worn by Napoleon Bonaparte.  Robot + Napoleon = Roboleon…  Obvious logic there…)

In any case, King Empel of Emperius has to choose which of his surviving sons, Prince Ryger and Prince Yuger, will be the heir to throne and the one to command the giant robot Daikengo, Emperius’ greatest treasure.  While King Empel chooses the young Prince Yuger, Prince Ryger commands Daikengo in his place.  Along with him are the daughter of Emperius’ corrupted war minister, Cleo (Voiced by Horie Mitsuko) and the robot brothers, Anike and Otoke.  Ryger and his entourage travels the universe on Daikengo to purge the Magellan threat in this 26-episode tour-de-force.  Who knows what will happen, but hopefully, you’ll enjoy the ride getting there.

This is also a joint project with Onidragon of TMUSubs, who have subbed several series including the second season of “Cat’s Eye” and “Daa! Daa! Daa!”  Also assisting is blind51de, who has subbed the 2012 Jojo’s Bizarre Aventures TV series via “Get Back Subs“.  Furthermore, these episodes uses foreign dubs as a base.  Episodes 01 and 02 of Daikengo uses the Italian dub while Episode 03 uses the Spanish dub.  Thanks to lostmax who translated Ep01 and Griffon who translated Ep02.  (I translated Ep03 with BendecidaOty’s help.)  The RAWs came from Henshin Video, which I encoded myself so that they could be muxxed into MKV files with softsubs.
