What did we experience so far?
When recruiting schools, it is striking that it is necessary to work through an intermediary (our partners such as Enchanté vzw, students or our own network). Otherwise, schools will not respond or respond negatively to our request for participation.
Furthermore, our script for the co-creation sessions is ready. Nevertheless, we continue to have doubts about two aspects:
- Do we have a teacher attend the co-creation sessions? There are arguments for a positive and a negative answer to this question. On the one hand, this teacher can be a confident for both the children and participating parents. On the other hand, he/she may be an inhibiting factor in sharing personal stories.
- How do we put together the parent group? Will it be a mix of parents in terms of socio-economic background (heterogeneous group) or will we invite parents with a vulnerable background into a separate group (homogeneous group)?
