
Katrina Quirolgico
Katrina Salome is Research Fellow at Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service in Qatar. She formerly did research at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, and worked in Higher Education Administration at Northwestern University (International Education) and at Georgetown University (Admissions & International Recruitment), where she also lectured and taught seminars in International Relations and Political Theory for the Pre-College Summer Program. She holds a Master’s in Government & International History (Distinction) from the London School of Economics, where she defended her dissertation on the historicity of nationalization policy in Arabian Gulf States; and a Bachelor’s in Foreign Service (magna cum laude) from Georgetown University, where she presented her honors thesis on Tocqueville and temporality in American Politics and Foreign Policy. Her research interests lie in comparative politics, political theory, modern intellectual history, and the history of Empire; and her regional expertise lie in the Middle East and the United States. Currently, she is working on a book manuscript entitled Le Prix de la Poussière, examining statecraft in GCC States, and, writ-large, the birthing of nations at the End of History.
