Lenore Carreon Perez was my sister's beloved cat and and oldest of her younger sister, Annabel Lee. She was unexpectedly put to sleep at a shelter we thought would find her a good home. My sister wanted what was best for her kids and  turned them in with hopes of both of them finding a good home on Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at 3:30 PM. Wednesday morning, I called to check in on the girls and was told by the operator that they put Lenore under due to "Aggressive" behavior after only having her for a couple of hours.

I want to make one thing clear.

Lenore was a kind hearted creature who would never harm a soul. She was only there for a few hours and they decided she wasn't fit for adoption?? I am angry at this unethical treatment of animals and don't care how nicely they tried to put her death. They killed her plain and simple for unjustifiable causes. My sister blames herself for her Lenore's death and I don't know what to say to her that will ease her pain.  I am angry at the assholes who did this so heartlessly and just wish I can turn back time and prevent all this from happening.

I am proud to announce that Annabel Lee has thankfully been put up for adoption and I pray that she will find a good home and be loved as much as my sister had loved her and her older sis both.

Lenore is gone now, but she will never be forgotten.
