This is the sign up post - please comment here if you want to participate. Your character can be anyone from the True Blood fandom (I'll allow book characters as long as there are no big spoilers!) Character-claiming is first come, first serve.

Here's how the game works:

All times are in the Eastern US timezone.

8:00am-8:00pm is the "daytime".
8:00pm-8:00am is the "nighttime".

The game will start on Thursday night at 8:00pm.

Before then (between 6 and 8 pm on Friday), I will use a randomizer to select an appropriate number of "Assassins" (based on the total number of people who sign up to play before then). I will contact the Assassins via PM with a link to a private chat room (no registration necessary) that they can use to talk amongst themselves - but only during nighttime hours.

I will also contact one other randomly chosen person via PM who will be the Healer and one person randomly chosen to be the Seer. Each night, the Healer will get to pick one person to save (they may choose to save themself once and only once), but they will have no way of knowing who the Assassins are choosing to murder that night. The Seer may ask once each night if a certain player is an Assassin. It is up to them how they use that knowledge.

If you sign up, but do not receive a PM from me, you can assume you are an Innocent.

The Assassins will use the secret chat room to discuss and decide upon who they are going to murder overnight. The person with the most votes by 8:00 am will be murdered. I will check the chat log and make a post to clubjj! announcing the murder - unless the Healer has saved them, that person is out of the game (it seems harsh - sorry! But you can still follow along and find out who killed you!).

From 8:00am to 8:00pm, everyone involved in the game, Innocents, Assassins, Healer and Seer, will use that post to discuss who they think the should be executed for the murder. (Assassins are not allowed to use the chatroom during this time. No one is to contact anyone else privately - all daytime discussion must be out in the open.) In this post, you are free to reason with each other, point fingers, accuse people, defend yourself, deflect blame, etc. (although keep it within the friendly spirit of Whedonland). The person with the most votes by 8:00pm is out of the game. I will make a post at 8:00pm announcing who has been executed and whether or not they were an Assassin.

This nighttime, daytime cycle will repeat until either the Assassins win, by outnumbering the Innocents, or the Innocents win by killing all the Assassins.
