It turns out that quite a lot can happen at work during a two hour hospital appointment... Who would have known it? Not me and now I've got to try and do something about it all... Well, while I do that, why don't you all check out the new(ish) trailer for 'House of the Dragon' Season 2. It's been a hell of a weekend, capped off by EE totally screwing up my broadband transfer, to the new place, and having to start all over again. So even if I had done any reading, I've got no way to post it other than a few minutes in the office when I'm not doing any one of a hundred other things. Sorry, you've caught me on a bad day, things will pick up though :o) In the meantime then, have a trailer for 'House of the Dragon Season 2'. It's looking good but then anything looks good when you bung dragons in it ;o) I'll leave you to watch in peace but I'm left wondering, is anyone still waiting for 'The Winds of Winter', at this point, or has everyone just decided to make do with the TV offerings now...?

Yes, I know that everyone else has already watched 'House of the Dragon' and said probably everything there is to say about it. Not me though, I never seem to watch TV shows at the same time as everyone else and come to the conversation at around about the time that everyone else has packed up and moved on to the next show. Dammit. I'm not as late to the party as I was to 'Game of Thrones' (I started watching the first season when everyone else was gearing up for the Red Wedding...) so maybe there's hope for me yet ;o) In the meantime, lets see if I can add anything new to what has already been said about 'House of the Dragon'... I'm working on the assumption that everyone else has already watched the show so if you haven't, beware of possible spoilers to come. The show is set 172 years before Danaerys Targaryen started measuring herself up for the Iron Throne and the Targaryen's rule under the kingship of Viserys. The King grows old though...

I might have to break my 'just Prime, Shudder and Disney' rule, the trailers get better every time (which is kind of the whole point of trailers but you know what I mean...) Check this one out, I really should read the book as well but I don't know if I'm going to to be able to fit that in before the show premieres in August. Oh well, what's a blog for if not to make wild promises that I'll never be able to keep... ;o) I shall read 'Fire & Blood' before the show premieres in August... (Now I've gone and done it...)

 It may not be the tale of Westeros that we really want to hear but... I'll take it while I'm waiting ;o)
