This post has been building up for a while, mainly in response to a lot of people I've been dealing with out here in the real world. But I think LJ is a great outlet for organizing my thoughts on issues, and also a great place for me to just get my voice heard about things I feel are important. This issue in particular is very important to me personally, and I rather hope you feel similarly by the time you finish reading, if you didn't already. I apologize for the length ahead of time, but, well, it's not an easy issue to keep concise.
