This August, the Livingston Public Library’s display case features the brilliant creations of local artist Karen LaGreca.

Karen is a graduate of The Fashion Institute of Technology with a concentration in surface and product design. She has enjoyed a diverse career of 40 years designing home furnishing products and working directly with print manufacturers. She has created multiple wallcovering collections, bedding ensembles, bath accessories, carpets, and inground pool liners.

Creating has always been an intrinsic way of life for Karen. She works across a variety of mediums, including canvas, wood, slate stone, and photography. Her artwork is inspired by nature, her inner spirit, and her whimsical imagination.

Today, her work is featured in solo exhibits at local eateries, libraries, and municipal buildings. She regularly participates in juried exhibits and is a member of the Livingston Art Association, the Arts Council of Livingston, and the West Essex Art Association.

As an alumni of Livingston High School, Karen is thrilled to share her artwork with the community through this exhibit at the Livingston Public Library.
