If You're Getting Ahead of the Program

Being in a new fandom where I only know a couple of people is so weird, y'all.

So. I wrote TW fic. It's been almost two years since I've written anything...or rather, almost two years since I've finished anything. I'm in that honeymoon phase with this fandom where I'm full of ideas and actually excited enough to want to put them down on paper.

It's only 3,000 words and it's kind of a mess and it hasn't come back from beta yet. But I always get antsy when somethings finished and just sitting around in my gdocs, so I'll probably end up posting it as is and going back and editing later.

Actually, I'm going to try not to do that.

I started watching Teen Wolf and now my life is a sad, empty shell of what it used to be. I started using ship names and then I barfed a whole bunch of Sterek feelings all over tumblr.

When watching Wheel of Fortune, I get really angry when people make poor decisions. Like, for example, picking the letter G when there's only one G and then solving the puzzle even though there were 3 D's. And the G wasn't even an important letter...like, she had to have known what the answer was before she picked the G. And the D would have been three times the money. I just...I have a lot of feelings about Wheel of Fortune, apparently.

I had a surprise day off today due to the fact that I live in Texas and any time it freezes it's like the end of the world. I spend the day reading old bandom fic and playing SimCity.

So this is morbid, but I shudder to think how long it would take for someone to discover my body if I died in my sleep or something. I mean, maybe not so long if I was expected at work that day (my work bff has a key to my apartment, so she'd probably come looking if I missed and didn't answer my phone), but I often have multiple days off in a row. And I'm a hermit. So...

I've been feeling really nostalgic for fandom (bandom in particular), but I just can't seem to work up the energy to jump back in again. Maybe posting here a bit will scratch that itch. Does anyone even still use this thing?
