Microsoft SmartScreen

Microsoft SmartScreen is a cloud-based anti-phishing and anti-malware component included in some Microsoft products such as Windows 8+, IE, Edge, Xbox, O365, and Bing.

Disable SmartScreen

On Windows:

  • Go in System Settings -> Privacy & security -> Windows Security
  • Click on Open Windows Security
  • Click on App & browser control
  • Under Reputation-based protection, click on Reputation-based protection settings
  • Toggle off all SmartScreen settings
