## Me
Hello, my account's associated Copilot is not functioning in PyCharm
You don't have access to GitHub Copilot. Sign up by visiting https://github.com/settings/copilot.
## Copilot
Thanks for writing in.
Your access to Copilot has been restricted because our systems detected the use of a credential sharing service which modifies and interferes with how Copilot works.
We support a limited number of clients, and using Copilot with unofficial extensions that interfere with how GitHub Copilot works can cause a strain on our servers and violates our Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policies.
In order to regain access, please:
Remove any installed extensions or scripts for “CoCopilot” or similar.
Revoke the “CoCo”, “CoCopilot”, or any similar credential sharing applications from your account settings.
Confirm that you agree to abide by our Terms of Service which prohibits the sharing of credentials.
Once this is completed please let me know and I can lift the restriction. Please note, repeated detection of credential sharing could result in your GitHub account being permanently suspended.
Regards,
Jim.
## Me
Thank you for your message.
I have removed any installed extensions or scripts related to “CoCopilot” as requested. I also want to assure you that I fully understand and agree to abide by GitHub’s Terms of Service and Acceptable Use Policies, and I will not use any credential sharing services or unauthorized extensions in the future.
Please kindly lift the restriction on my Copilot access. I appreciate your help and will ensure to adhere to GitHub’s guidelines moving forward.
Best regards,
## Copilot
I have now removed the restriction from your account. We kindly ask that you use Copilot strictly within our supported extensions and comply with our Terms of Service going forward to prevent any future restrictions.
For basic security hygiene; please ensure that your credentials are being used exclusively by you. Please note that scripting against our API, including automated or excessive usage and programmatic token generation, is prohibited.
Please be aware that any subsequent violations of our Terms of Service and our Acceptable Use Policies may lead to the permanent revocation of your Copilot access and a permanent suspension of your GitHub account.
If you have any further questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us.
Regards,
Jim.
