Why We Built LightSync Pro
BUILT FOR EVERYONE
My wife is a photographer. Like many modern creators, she does all of her real work inside cloud-based editing tools—and then has to publish that work somewhere else entirely: a WordPress website.
Every time she finished editing a session, I’d help her update her site. That meant:
- Exporting assets from her editing tool
- Renaming files
- Compressing images for the web
- Uploading everything to WordPress
- Adding alt text, organizing galleries, and fixing layouts
…and repeating that entire process every time something changed.
I kept thinking: Why are we still doing this manually?
At the same time, I’d spent 16+ years building and managing websites and publishing systems for photographers, agencies, designers, and growing businesses. And I was seeing the exact same problem everywhere.
Editing tools are where the work is created.
Websites and stores are where the work is shown.
But there was no clean, reliable connection between the two.
When I started digging deeper, something became very clear.
Most tools treated publishing as a one-time export.
There were importers, uploaders, and sync tools for specific platforms—but nothing designed for modern, cloud-first workflows, and nothing that could keep assets continuously in sync after they were published.
If an image changed in the cloud, websites didn’t update.
If filenames, crops, or metadata changed, links broke.
Publishing was static—while the work itself was constantly evolving.
What started as a solution for our own workflow quickly became something my clients needed too.
So I built LightSync Pro—not as another export tool, but as a live bridge between cloud-based creative tools and CMS platforms.
A system that keeps images, metadata, and updates synchronized automatically, so creators and teams can focus on creating—without fighting file management or broken workflows.
That’s when LightSync Pro took shape.
Not as another export tool—but as a system built for continuous synchronization between cloud-based creative tools and CMS platforms.
A living connection instead of a one-time publish.
