Well, balls. It's hard to keep up with art of the week when I get so busy at work. So, lets just say this feature is now, "art of the whenever I work on it."

Currently I'm making very slow progress on a Pink Undies Sunday drawing. Stiles' face took forever to get it anywhere near I like it. It's a difficult angle and Dylan's nose is so hard to draw sometimes. Now to "research" erections in underwear...

My goal is to do at least one drawing a week. It can be a sketch, or fully rendered, or halfway between. It may be fandom, it may not. But, in order to get better (especially with coloring), I need to practice, practice, practice!

Arthur taps away on his keyboard. It feels good to be functioning again. His mind is still fuzzy though, like there’s a barrier keeping him from making any significant progress on work.

It’s as if can see his goals but can’t concentrate hard or long enough to get there, a glass wall between him and success. When he finds that he can finally break through it, it still takes double the time it used to completing his task. Still, he’s managed to tap back into his usual communication lines and is caught up on any significant news since his disappearance from dreamshare.

I am misappropriating factual recent art thefts to suit my needs, thus making Arthur and Eames badasses. With that I am also painting the Swiss in negative light due to my limited research (I’m not an art historian) into the storage, appropriation, and sale of Nazi war plunder. I acknowledge that it could be read as offensive but I do not personally think Swiss people are corrupt or Nazi supporters, only that their government and banking system has been a bit shady about their dealings with Nazi seized art and gold.

So I decided to challenge myself and do an illustration for i-reversebang. This is the first illustration/painting I've done in years. I am really happy that I chose to explore digital painting for a fandom I love and hope to do more art in the future.
