Further, how these perceptions may change professional development needs to be studied. This study assessed the effects of a professional development model designed to deepen the current understandings of faculty in higher education. The traditional face-to-face approach to professional development was expanded to include an online learning module. Specifically, the research questions addressed were: Research Question 1: Does participants’ self-reported knowledge about laws and learning disabilities increase after participating in the professional development? Research Question 2: Do participants’ self-reported attitudes regarding the ability of students with disabilities’ change after participation in the professional development?
