Space dwarves from Lafig miniatures

Hey everyone, A quickie today, I recently had the opportunity to paint some space dwarves from the ongoing Lafig Miniatures Kickstarter (check it HERE), Lafig Miniatures are creating a new set of oldschool models but with modern means.

Those were sculpted by Frank Adam in Green Stuff like any old school model is but they were then scanned and printed (with a little CAD to enhance them further) and then printed in the highest quality

Röknauts Space Dwarves

Hey everyone ! I was lucky to get my hands on a set of Ontos Games Röknauts lately as their Kickstarter is running ! The project has funded in 5 minutes without a surprise !

Now I have a fondness for all the fun niche bits of the 40k verse like every other fan and Curis has poured a tremendous amount of love into making some of these concepts tangible with his own take on the subject.
The models really capture what I like the most about dwarf models, they're small but BIG, if youv'e ever painted a dwarf model face, you know what I mean, dwarf weapons, dwarf beards are such funs, noone wants to paint knees or elbows, dwarves just keep all the good parts and make them bigger while getting rid of the lame ones.

Fantasy dwarf band

Ever since my last Mordheim campaign, I knew I wanted to build a dwarf band. But you probably know how life gets in the way and this project somehow got postponed for about 5 years, yikes !
that does mean I was able to add a few models I deemed worthy to my selection and it was a very satisfying moment to finally scratch all those off the list !

Zombie slayer or... zombie slayer ?

Alright now, little time ago, Jamie from Oldschool Miniatures kindly sent me an orc  and added this unreleased zombified slayer to paint.
Well dwarves are cool, slayers doubly so and zombies on top ? Say no more, this guy (sort of) quickly moved to the top of the queue.
It's a really cool sculpt from Juan Montano, full of oldschool charm, that paints really well.

Space dwarves Kickstarter !

Great news ! I've recently painted a bunch of space dwarves a bit before their release. Well I'm glad to say  these are finally ready to get on your tabletop !
Uscarl Miniatures and Kev Adams have combined their talents to offer you these wonderful even if somehow smelly and grumpy fellows.

The link to the kickstarter is HERE !

Chaos Squats

Yes I know, squats again, well I guess it's a form of coming out I guess. I love stunties, there I said it ! Now I've been considering getting back on my chaos renegade army for some time but you know how things are right ? There's always a good excuse to do something else and as long as stuff gets done and painted, I don't mind much actually. Things, is though, there's been a combination of events lately that lead me to seriously consider what I'd do next for my chaos army.

Flasher dwarf... or squat...

TADAM !

Ok, sorry for the lame introduction, and by introduction I don't mean... erm... nevermind. So, here's fun one. I've been lucky enough to get a flasher dwarf and I do have to say that although it would have never occured to me to look for it, I didn't say no when I got the chance to paint one.

Gras doux - A fresh new old dwarf

After yesterday's post about the first sculpt of 2 from my friends, I've decided to finish another sculpt that was handed to me by his creator Mandrin (check out his Painting videos in french).
You might remember we met some time ago during our french Oldhammer event in Lyon.

French Oldhammer event model - Mornegueule Brisedent

Something a bit different from last time today with a model that is very dear to me. Yes of course it's a chaos dwarf and anything chaotic will usually have a place in my heart but this one is a bit more than that. The french Oldhammer scene (it's actually becoming a thing) has gathered in Metz last WE as it had in Lyon in 2015 and for that occasion Bruno from Vialudibunda and Nico have joined to produce this model and give it to all attendants on the day.
Being unable to get to this event despite the many people I wanted to see again and play with, I managed to get a model anyway so it was only natural for me to get it painted as soon as possible.

Dwarf adventurer - BC1 starter set

I realise the last models I've produced were not really old lead and though this is in no way a problem, I just wanted to ceize a few opportunities to get some old lead painted in between a couple of cool things I'm working on at the moment.

This model is the stout dwarf warrior from the renowned BC1 adventurers Starter set :

Just watch that good face, isn't he lovely? You can see him all quiet and calm for the time being but just throw an orc or a goblin in the same room and you get meat all over the place.

As I said this one comes from the BC1 adventurer set :
