Fanlib Update:
Now they're asking for users' FF.Net passwords & login info. Presumably to spare the users the hassle of uploading their ff.net fic to FanLib. Thankfully, FF.Net has responded to this by requiring image verification to log in so they can verify the user is human and not some FanLib bot.

Say what you like about the Pit of Voles, but they're still smart enough to avoid FanLib like the effing plague.

Oh a more amusing note, in reference to the Pink Dude/Blue Guy Ads?

Supernatural:
The Metallicar is destroyed completely, and thanks to Sam, gets replaced by a Prius. Sam stops being emo and Dean finds his Bad!MarySue One Twue Wuv. They start using pop songs in the music sequences instead of classic rock, and they use the last Magic Bullet to kill the Celine Dion Ceiling Demon. John remarries, the fangirls take it as an insult to the memory of Our Lady of Flaming Ceilings.

Smallville:
Clark & Lana get together AGAIN, thus beginning another turn in the great Circle Of WAAAANGST. Chloe dies, Lois becomes the "strong female character" and Lex becomes content, and therefore BORING.

Gundam Wing:
Cartoon Network decides to air it AGAIN and we get another huge influx of 12 year-olds addicted to caps-lock who've never used a spellchecker in their lives. Flame wars ensue when aforementioned 12 year-olds discover yaoi fiction with GUYS WITH GUYS OMG. (Thanks, DC!)

House:
House and the ex happily get back together, thus traumatizing all the House/Wilson shippers.

Firefly:
Eps get aired out of order and the show gets cancelled due to low ratings.

...wait. Dammit.

Pirates Of The Carribbean:
Norrington shaves.

LoTRips:
Viggo's with Sean Bean. ViggOrli shippers are devastated. Dom and Elijah really do turn out to be dating, MsA was right all along.

Also - am v. thankful to find meta that doesn't mention MsScribe now. Yes, it was wanky. Yes, it was bizarre, but frankly, I don't see this as being nearly as wanky as The Victoria Bitter Affair. Not quite worthy of all the fuss. I mean, come on - MsScribe didn't teach us anything earth-shattering. We've always known some people create sockpuppets for the sake of boosting their internet popularity. MS was just a little more creative and prolific with hers. Still comes nowhere NEAR the sheer crazy that was VB.

But maybe I'm just old-school.
