We host several annual events, including our much anticipated Spring Fling and the Seasonal Event, as well as periodic retail hours throughout the year where no appointment is necessary. Each event is designed to refresh the home, offering a thoughtful edited assortment of curated goods, allowing clients and customers to explore furnishings, finishes, and vignettes in a fresh and meaningful way as the seasons change.
Our curated inventory includes furniture, lighting, art, rugs, and decorative objects selected for their quality, versatility, and enduring appeal. Vignettes are styled top to bottom to illustrate how pieces of varied style, scale and price point live together in a space, offering inspiration while remaining highly practical. Our inventory is available for immediate purchase or white glove delivery, with additional options available through special order.

Custom Furnishings
At SMITHS, we work closely with you to design and source custom furnishings tailored to both space and lifestyle.
From upholstery and case goods to one of kind objects and artwork, each piece is thoughtfully specified from fabric to finish to tell your story and support how the home is lived in. Custom does not mean complicated. Our role is to guide the process, present clear options, and deliver furnishings that feel both elevated and effortless.

Our story
Since a very young age, Laura dreamed of designing a boutique storefront in a quaint downtown setting.
The dream turned in to a reality in 2013 when she rebranded her interior design business and launched Laura Yeager Smith Home & Design. Laura renovated the historic Carriage House at 44 Clinton Street in Hudson and established her first brick and mortar design studio with a boutique storefront.
In the following years, Laura built her team of talented professionals including designers and specialized support staff. Laura Yeager Smith Home & Design has continued to grow while collaborating with homeowners, builders and architects to earn a reputation for providing outstanding full service interior design. With this continued growth, it was becoming evident that the firm needed more space for the design team, studio and boutique.
in 2017, Laura and her husband Todd began to outline steps to expansion. SMITHS CURATED was born!
While the design firm is project based, including new construction, renovation and furnishings projects, Laura wanted to expand her brand to help those who may not fit the full-service approach of Laura Yeager Smith Home & Design. Homeowners in search of the perfect chair, piece of art, lamp or simply a special hostess gift can appreciate and utilize the inspiring destination shop now open to the public. Vignettes of varied aesthetics inspire both clients and homeowners to develop their own style and offer a cash and carry instant gratification. Larger items can be delivered and special orders are also welcome. Laura’s unique concept was to create a lifestyle storefront where she and her talented team curate fresh vignettes of varied aesthetics that are styled top to bottom. Everything displayed can be purchased as a whole room or by the piece.
As a one time independent designer who worked out of her home part time while raising her young children, Laura also wanted to help independent designers source amazing finds for their clients at fair prices. The established trade program now offers an expanded showroom for program members to source unique furnishings for their projects and place special orders.
