I have so many things queued to post about, and the list is overwhelming, so I am going to actually put things in different posts if you don't mind! I hope you don't!
I'm a member of
ontd_startrek, and I love it. I didn't even know what ONTD stood for when I joined, hilarious, I know. I went to two meetups this summer in SF, met great people. There was a Secret Santa gift exchange, and I got a TOS calendar that I put up in my cube yesterday (for those few hours that it was my cube). That was awesome and I was happy... and then I got a BONUS GIFT. My Santa, 
ariante, saw that I love fanvids, and decided to MAKE ME ONE. HER FIRST FANVID. OMG. And I love it! It has lots of adorable bonus footage, and it's fun and cute and happy. And now it's online! So take a look!
And I want to TALK LOTS about yuletide, but I don't have TIME, so I am just going to link, okay?
First off, the other fannish holiday present i've gotten so far! (festivids next week oh god)
A Snippet of a Possible Past of Hamlet and Horatio by offsammich , lovely Hamlet/Horatio in college story. Which reminds me hooooow have i not seen the david tennant/patrick stewart hamlet yet??
And also, the story I wrote! I want to say a lot about that process, but for now, here's the link. "Way Down In The Mines", forvulgarweed. It's ~5K words, and really all you need to know about the canon is in the note on the top. the series is "John the Balladeer" by Manly Wade Wellman, about a man with a guitar with silver strings who wanders the hills of Appalachia encountering weirdshit. Vulgarweed loved the story, which makes me INCREDIBLY happy!
