I keep meaning to write up a big long "this is why firefly is awesome" thing, BUT I am lame and out of time. So I am going to steal from an email I sent out some previous year, and try to add more before the rest of the tickets go on sale.
There are a few things I want to add to what I say below. First is that I think everyone who goes to firefly should be going for more than one reason. If you are just there for art, well, you will see all the art in one day. If you are just there for dancing, you'll get bored during the day. If you are just there for fire, again, just not quite enough.
Secondly, there will be people running around with no clothes in altered states. No one will make you do those things, but if you're straight edge... you should probably think hard about this. I am more than happy to talk in more detail.
Thirdly, this is a NO SPECTATORS event. PARTICIPATION is really the most important keyword. Please do not come to just watch other people, or as some anthropology or sociology thing. You are expected to participate. Your participation can take many forms, but please be involved somehow.
