“Peaceful Morning”
A somewhat chilly view of Fall Creek from the trail that runs above it on the hillside. Who needs a drone?
“Fisheye out of Water”
Intersection of Fall Creek and Timber Creek.
“Unnecessary Sign”
Fortunately there was a handy log just upstream.
“Frostmelt”
Walking the trail in bright sun after freezing fog resulted in millions of sparkling drops everywhere.
“Rebirth”
Spotted this one tiny mushroom while I was hiking through a completely burned area along Fall Creek.
“Escape”
“Spring Preview”
Spent some time in my yard playing with a new-to-me lens (Sony 1.8/35 SAM on an A58). Pretty noisy even at fairly low ISO but I got some nice macro shots with pleasing background blur.
“Butterflies in the Rain”
Another of Eugene’s many murals.
“Weathered Wave”
Architectural detail from Eugene Fire Station #1 with (obviously) some cinematic post-processing.
“No Parking Bud”
Possibly the most Eugene parking meter ever.
“Circle of Mushrooms”
These tiny little guys were only about an inch across all told.
“Pigs in a Tree”
I dunno, maybe nobody else sees round heads with snouts here.
“It’s Winter Dammit!”
There was just enough snow at the top of Spencer Butte for some dedicated hiker to build a tiny snowman.
“Spores”
Playing around with a new flash…clearly didn’t get enough light for noise reduction here, but I still like the feel.
“Tiny Dam”
I suppose it’s old tech by now, but I’m always amazed by image stabilization in modern cameras. This is a two-second handheld time exposure.
“Moss Garden”
“Over the Parapet”
Tiny mushroom at Mount Pisgah.
“Sea and Sky”
60-second exposure (with ND10 filter + in-camera ND5) turned this day of wind and surf into this dreamy image.
“Surfing Gulls”
“Dreaming Gulls”
The ND10 filter I was using at Bob Creek gave the original a horrible greenish cast, but reprocessing as monochrome it actually turned out OK.
