Okay. Now I'm also so emotionally invested in Sherlock/John that I've decided to save them from their canon fate. Admittedly, their canon fate is less dire than Clark and Lex's, at least from Sherlock's point of view, but I'm still having none of it because JOHN. JOHN. OUR. JOHN. Ahem.

I'm sure it's been done already; this is a very prolific and talented and need I say protective fandom. But I can't help myself. Y'all brace yourselves. At least this one won't take ten years. I've calculated that it will require two stories. Even I don't write that slowly. ;)
