Namely, the howling, weeping, hyperventilating, fainting, and shrieking going on among the British fans over on Tumblr, I'd hazard a guess that Moffat and Gatiss accomplished their mission. I'll let you know if it has the same effect on this old fannish battle-axe. *g* Laters.

ETA: On a more cheerful note, Mark Gatiss has just confirmed that there will be a third series -- in fact, it was commissioned at the same time as Series 2, and he and Moffat simply withheld that little fact to torture us.
