So Peter Capaldi is our new Doctor. He's a wonderful actor, so I hope for wonderful new Who. I knew that my hopes for someone not-another-white-guy were pipe dreams as long as Steven "run! it's girl cooties!" Moffat is running things. But just to be sure we understand how much real estate on Douche Mountain he owns, Mr. Moffat gave us this during the announcement:

I like that Helen Mirren has been saying the next doctor should be a woman. I would like to go on record and say that the Queen should be played by a man.

AHAHAHAHAHA! Oh, Moffat. You precious wee troglodyte. How do you manage to fail funny and logic at the same time? So is the Queen a fictional character, or the Doctor a real person? And is Britain's sovereign always "played" by a woman? Bless your heart, I underestimated you. Not only do you have absolutely no conception of privilege or institutional misogyny, but you're truly a small, mean-spirited little wanker. By all means, spoil a pleasant occasion by insulting your show's female fans, why not? Ugh.
