Is Senator James Inhofe (Republican, Oklahoma) who told a reporter yesterday that Congress' debate about gun safety legislation has nothing to do with the family members of the children and educators butchered at Sandy Hook Elementary School, who have been working tirelessly to bring about reform.

"See, I think it's so unfair of the administration to hurt these families, to make them think this has something to do with them when, in fact, it doesn't," Inhofe said.

When it was suggested that the families of Newtown victims actually believe the gun debate pertains to them, Inhofe said, "Well, that's because they've been told that by the president."

So, in Senator Inhofe's estimation, the only reason these family members are rabble rousing lobbying Congress for reform is because President Obama svengali'd them into it for political reasons, not because they suffered an unimaginable loss and are working to prevent other families from suffering the same. It's none of their business what Congress does, you see. It has nothing to do with them. Great Horny Toads! Do these people think that they're citizens of a representative democracy or something? Go home and buy some guns and leave us alone, we have voters to disenfranchise and women to relegate to the 19th century.

I realize that the WBC are trolls who deliberately provoke people by displaying their disgusting messages at funerals and the scenes of tragedies in order to generate income through the resulting law suits. In my opinion, that makes them even more despicable than if they were sincere.
