I was going to make a post about Boston, but it's mostly a photo post and most of the photos are still unedited. So I'm sitting here, staring at the "Post an Entry" page, and I start thinking about balls.

Most specifically meatballs. It's a completely apt name for the food, but really unfortunate. I mean, I get it, they're literally balls of meat (what kind is up to your imagination, I'm sure) but the 14 year old in me just wants to laugh and laugh.

Then, I started thinking about meat-less balls. I guess I haven't really talked about it much, but I've been on a mostly!vegetarian kick for the past few months (since about November, I think) and so I've pretty much tried every meat substitute known to man. The thing is, I'm not really doing the vegetarian thing for a 'reason', so meat-less balls sounds not only funnier, but more suspect than the regular meatballs I'm used to. I guess this is because I don't really have any incentive to trust it, that it's better for me. I suppose they're not going to say "ground soy protein balls" or anything like that. But it's still weird.

And it still makes me want to laugh.

Hah.

Balls.

Maybe I'll call them 'soy spheres', or 'bovine poppers' for the ones containing actual meat. That's probably way worse.

I might call them that anyway.
