I've never really been one for year end reflections and contemplations and such. I can only say that I'm immensely grateful for the end of this year, the turning of a new page. You know, change.

I'm ready for it.

The best present I got this year, when I think about it, is the gift of having a mother who knows you as well as mine knows me. These two shirts are Christmas presents. She saw that violent shade of yellow and thought of me <3

Yes, it really is that bright.

Other than that, I am well fed and pretty content. Mama and me did out first vegetarian Christmas. It was pretty all right, I wasn't missing anything, and I didn't feel at all bad about going for seconds... and thirds... and perhaps fourths in a minute.

I hope everyone had/is having a very merry Christmas. Or, you know, equally awesome holiday if you're not into the whole Jesus thing.



In sadder news, RIP Eartha Kitt. I know she was eighty-one, and I know she had cancer, but she's still one of those people I never thought would die. (Then agan, I STILL can't believe James Brown and Ray Charles are dead, and it's been a while, dudes.)
