Firms may announce the price early (when the product's valuation for consumers is highly uncertain) or late (when the uncertainty of the product's valuation has been resolved). Both firms choose the timing and price level to maximise their own expected profits. We find that firms always choose to announce the price late when they monopoly the market. However, when both firms compete against each other and duopoly the market, both firms announce the price late when the uncertainty of the product's valuation is high and the online acceptance rate is low; by contrast, one of them takes a leadership role and announces the price early whereas the other one follows and announces late when the uncertainty of the product's valuation is low and the online acceptance rate is high.

The seller initially can offer the MBGs or no-MBGs in the selling season but may sell the leftover inventory at a salvage price without the MBGs at the end of the season. The strategic consumers choose the purchasing timing based on their expected surplus. The authors compare the models of the MBGs offer to no-MBGs in the selling season. By characterizing the rational expectation equilibrium, they find that the seller can charge a higher price in the case of the MBGs offer compared to no-MBGs. Accordingly, the seller's stocking level is higher and thus the seller's profit has the corresponding result. This result explains why MBGs is ubiquitous in the retailing world. The effects of the parameters in the model on the profit benefit are shown in the numerical analysis.

The most serious obstacle facing most small businesses in Senegal seem to be that of limited access to sources of capital. In addition, other external conditions like colonial and cultural factors affect the productive management and usage of funds. It is recommended that the government machinery, relevant establishments and business communities combine efforts with that of entrepreneurs and create effective structures that will help ameliorate the process and conditions for effective capital formation.

New and innovative means of support, such as information and communication technology, are emerging. This paper explores the perceived benefits of, and barriers to, information technology as a means of supporting family carers of older people. Following a brief overview of the care-giving literature, with particular reference to the Swedish context, interview and questionnaire data collected from 34 families who took part in the Swedish ACTION project are used to explore the role of user-friendly information and communication technology to inform and enable family carers of older people to exercise choice, to care more effectively and to work in partnership with professionals. Interview data from two groups of professionals that utilised ACTION are also examined to throw light on its potential benefits for both carers and professionals....

There should be a close liaison between the Nigeria Stock Exchange (NSE) and family businesses to raise cheap funds for growth of SMEs.
