Engineers often make decisions that profoundly impact society, with consequences ranging from sav... more Engineers often make decisions that profoundly impact society, with consequences ranging from saving lives to jeopardizing property. This study examines the complex interplay between the regulatory framework and the politics that shape these technological practices. Through an extensive literature review and real-world case studies, the findings of the study highlight the importance of understanding the legal constraints and political dynamics of the whole game for engineers, and efficient accounting decision-making has been further emphasized and incorporated. However, the political considerations in a case can affect the interpretation and implementation of these legal systems, as various stakeholder groups try to sway policymakers' navigation of this Law-politics interface, which poses enormous challenges for engineers who have to balance technical, ethical, and practical considerations with evolving regulations and psychological pressures. This study highlights the importance of engineers' engagement in the legal and political contexts of their profession; if the engineering profession is to foster its potential to deliver solutions that serve the public interest more through this holistic understanding, they will get it.

Assessing opinions on the use of AI to combat misinformation and security challenges, the research seeks to identify the space of promise and pitfalls of AI technologies. The question is dealt with whether the reasons and factors persuading the social media users to accept AI and its tools in the defence against disinformation are effective and how much of the constraints are there. The subject is also the use of AI algorithms for social media content categorization, and specifically, the categories ‘Legal’ and ‘Illegal’. This study progresses in the direction of policy making, that is aiming to work with policy makers and other stakeholders’ perceptions of AI in addressing disinformation and the need for ethical standards and legal frameworks in the area in question.

In other words, the impression is created that the current study seeks to measure possibilities of potential harm and effective usage of sources of information, illusionary though, of AI in relation to information and security problems. This study also investigates the already existing conditions that shift social media users' attitudes towards the use of AI tools for the purposes of countering misinformation by using the quantitative approach. Also, the research aims at classifying and identifying the legal public and illegal hate speech on social media platforms using AI tools. The significance of this research is that in engaging policy makers and other stakeholders, their attitudes regarding the combating of misinformation using AI technologies are gauged, thus seeking to draft policies on the use of AI technologies with the emphasize that ethical and legal considerations are critical in this area.

The current study delves thoroughly into popular opinions and attitudes regarding the use of arti... more The current study delves thoroughly into popular opinions and attitudes regarding the use of artificial intelligence in Arab journalism, given the pervasive effect of artificial intelligence on media and journalism. We aim to respond to several critical inquiries from academics, the artificial intelligence community, and the journalism sector. The public's current knowledge, feelings, concerns, desires, and expectations regarding artificial intelligence in the media sector were investigated through an online poll. It was discovered that the audience was well aware of how artificial intelligence is being used in journalism and other media, with the most familiar component being the description of certain news items that use artificial intelligence. One of the most important results of this study is that the public prefers to use artificial intelligence in news report format more than in creating news or media content. In terms of a variety of media content and news creation procedures, the people had varying preferences. Lastly, most people said that in future news production, human review and artificial intelligence modes should work in tandem.

With the advancement in electronic attack methods, different facilities are looking for ways to protect their data and technology systems. To do this, they must adopt more proactive methods to overcome these threats. Thus, Artificial intelligence (AI) proved its capabilities to face such threats. The current study aimed to identify the applications of AI and the importance of the role it plays in information security applications and the era of cybersecurity. This paper relies on quantitative data published by international organizations and research centers. Through adopting the descriptive approach, the results of this investigation show that the important step for progress is in the level of Information Technology (IT) infrastructure protection. For IT, it is necessary to use AI. Taking all these things into consideration, the results suggest that AI will strengthen the barrier between your systems and cyber threats.

Hence, the study aims to investigate the impact of sustainable development goals on education in Bahrain in order to identify the challenges and opportunities available to improve the quality of education, knowledge economy and develop human capital. This paper attempts to answer a major question: What is the impact of sustainable development on education in the Kingdom of Bahrain? To answer this question, the researchers will show quantitative data released by Bahrain's local government institutions and international organizations. The study is based on the hypothesis that Bahrain is among the countries that pay great attention to education and sustainable development by investing in technical and vocational education and training, and encouraging innovation and creativity. In order to test the hypothesis, the researchers preferred to use the analytical descriptive approach, by describing the quantitative data that related to education and its relationship to sustainable development. The study sought to demonstrate the impact of sustainable development goals on education in the Kingdom of Bahrain, solve the problem from which it was launched, and answer its questions, by analyzing the basic elements of the impact of sustainable development on education. As it was proven to us through testing the hypothesis, its validity, which was based on the fact that Bahrain is among the countries that pay great attention to education and sustainable development through investing in technical and vocational education and training, and encouraging innovation and creativity. The Bahraini government has taken serious steps in this direction, by focusing on improving the quality of education, developing skills, enhancing job opportunities, and promoting technical and vocational education and e-training. Moreover, Bahrain seeks to achieve a knowledge economy, by transforming the economy into a knowledge economy, developing infrastructure and investing in scientific research and technological development.

It is an approach that emphasizes the importance of shared decision-making and collaboration among all stakeholders in the university. In the context of change initiatives in teaching political science, collaborative leadership has been shown to have a significant impact on engagement and buy-in among faculty members. This paper examines the impact of collaborative leadership on engaging change initiatives in teaching political science. It begins by defining collaborative leadership and discussing its key characteristics. It then explores the challenges that political science departments face when implementing change initiatives, such as resistance to change and lack of buy-in from faculty members. The paper argues that collaborative leadership can help overcome these challenges by fostering a collaborative culture that encourages open communication, shared decision-making, and a sense of ownership among faculty members.

Hatred speech has emerged in the social, political and media realms and has provoked racism against foreigners. This hatred is associated with increased unemployment among citizens in light of the economic transformations in the region. Within the hatred context, foreign workers have been framed as the main cause of drained national resources during the pandemic and the economic crises facing the Gulf countries. The study uses surveys to gain insights into the impacts of economic factors on the growing hatred towards expatriate workers with the outbreak of COVID-19.

لفترة طويلة لم تكن دراسة العلاقة بين السلطة التشريعية والتنفيذية في مسائل السياسة الخارجية... more لفترة طويلة لم تكن دراسة العلاقة بين السلطة التشريعية والتنفيذية في مسائل السياسة الخارجية من أولويات الباحثين؛ وذلك لأنَّ الكثير من المختصين يرون أنَّ مجلس النواب ليس له دور حقيقي في عملية صنع القرار الخارجي. ولكنَّ معادلة الفصل بين السلطات التي تبلورت بعد المشروع الإصلاحي أدَّت إلى خلق المزيد من الصلاحيات لمجلس النواب في صنع السياسات العامة، بالرغم من إعطاء الدستور البحريني للبرلمان مساحات واسعة نسبيًا في التأثير على عملية صنع السياسة الخارجية، لكن مجلس النواب لم يمارس أدواره الدستورية بشكل مناسب، وتُبيِّن الأدلة المقدمة عدم تفعيل السلطة التشريعية لجميع الأدوات التشريعية والرقابية في هذا السياق.
الهدف من هذه الدراسة هو تحليل دور مجلس النواب البحريني في عملية صنع السياسة الخارجية من الفصل التشريعي الأول (2002-2006) حتى دور الانعقاد العادي الثالث من الفصل التشريعي الرابع (2014-2018) من خلال تفسير الأدوات التشريعية والرقابية التي يمتلكها مجلس النواب في مجال السياسة الخارجية، وتوظيف الأسلوب الكمي، وتوضيح طبيعة العلاقة بين السلطة التنفيذية ومجلس النواب. وقد توصَّلت الدراسة إلى أنَّ جُلَّ اهتمام مجلس النواب كان منحصرًا في المسائل المحلية أكثر من القضايا الإقليمية والدولية بسبب سعي أعضاء مجلس النواب إلى كسب القواعد الجماهيرية وتحقيق المصالح الانتخابية. وتنقسم هذه الدراسة إلى أربعة أجزاء؛ الجزء الأول يتناول مقومات السلطة التشريعية وبنيتها وتكوينها، والعلاقة الدستورية بين مجلس النواب والسلطات الأخرى. بالإضافة إلى ذلك يعالج الجزء الثاني أهداف السياسة الخارجية البحرينية ومحدداتها، أمَّا الجزء الثالث فيتناول هيكلية صنع السياسة الخارجية البحرينية. وأخيرًا؛ يركز الجزء الرابع على الأدوات التشريعية والرقابية التي يمتلكها مجلس النواب في مجال السياسة الخارجية من منظور كميّ.

الهدف من هذه الدراسة هو تحليل دور مجلس النواب البحريني في عملية صنع السياسة الخارجية من الفصل التشريعي الأول (2002-2006) حتى دور الانعقاد العادي الثالث من الفصل التشريعي الرابع (2014-2018) من خلال تفسير الأدوات التشريعية والرقابية التي يمتلكها مجلس النواب في مجال السياسة الخارجية، وتوظيف الأسلوب الكمي، وتوضيح طبيعة العلاقة بين السلطة التنفيذية ومجلس النواب. وقد توصَّلت الدراسة إلى أنَّ جُلَّ اهتمام مجلس النواب كان منحصرًا في المسائل المحلية أكثر من القضايا الإقليمية والدولية بسبب سعي أعضاء مجلس النواب إلى كسب القواعد الجماهيرية وتحقيق المصالح الانتخابية. وتنقسم هذه الدراسة إلى أربعة أجزاء؛ الجزء الأول يتناول مقومات السلطة التشريعية وبنيتها وتكوينها، والعلاقة الدستورية بين مجلس النواب والسلطات الأخرى. بالإضافة إلى ذلك يعالج الجزء الثاني أهداف السياسة الخارجية البحرينية ومحدداتها، أمَّا الجزء الثالث فيتناول هيكلية صنع السياسة الخارجية البحرينية. وأخيرًا؛ يركز الجزء الرابع على الأدوات التشريعية والرقابية التي يمتلكها مجلس النواب في مجال السياسة الخارجية من منظور كميّ.
