LameXP is a front-end for encoding files to MP3, Ogg Vorbis, PCM, FLAC and AAC.
You can encode files in the most popular audio formats, like WAV, MP3, MP2, OGG/Vorbis, FLAC, MP4/AAC, AC3, DTS, WavPack, Musepack, TTA, Speex, Monkey's Audio, Shorten, ALAC and WMA. The program can also read the most common types of playlists and cuesheets.
The program is just a GUI (Graphic User Interface), so you will need to have the encoders installed in your system in order to perform conversions. During the installation, LameXP will detect which encoders are not installed, and it will offer you to download and install them.
It supports several languages, and it can batch convert files. You can even edit the title of the file to convert on the fly.
Besides encoding files, LameXP allows you to add Metadata to the converted files, with information such as title, author, album, genre, etc. You can choose the compression method and quality/bitrate for the destination files. In some formats, you can also set the sampling, channel or algorithm quality.
