I translated the part in Book Five where Sirius and Snape argue in the kitchen of the Burrow. It was done solely for the purpose of my personal pleasure and I have absolutely no intention to infringe on any rights of Ms. Matsuoka, Say-zan-sha, or any other parties concerned. Please be warned of OotP spoilers.
I've finally made it to the end of the long journey again and here I am posting the last part of the translation of Habitué. :)

This being my second time to work on a translation, I think I could proceed with it a little smarter than last time. I'm also pleased that I sort of mastered the challenge of maintaining the same writhing style throughout the whole story which I failed to accomplish in my last translation project.
Last but not least, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the talented original author, Anise (anise_anise), who so kindly gave me permission to translate her work. Thank you so much, Anise, for this wonderful experience! :)
God, it was a long read: I started at 13:30 on Saturday and finished at 23:45 on Sunday, which means it took me 25 3/4 hours in total, excluding sleeping time. I think I did a pretty good job, though, considering my English ability: "Have at it, and have it," right? ;)
I received a notice from amazon.co.jp telling me that they dispatched It. My greatest concern at this moment is whether I will be able to finish It during the weekend, with my English ability. The audio book is supposed to be 21-24 hours long, which means that I will need 24 hours, at least. I must really, really concentrate and read fast and thoroughly at the same time; go, me! I already told my boyfriend not to disturb me this weekend since I will lock myself up in my apartment. :P

One year has passed since I had begun with my translation project of Salvation, and here I am, uploading the final part of it!
One year of waking up early and going to Starbucks one hour prior to the opening time of the office in order to work on the translation. Yes, it required a great force of will, but I am proud of myself for having done this; me, who had not even been able to wake up 15 minutes earlier than absolutely necessary.
I am quite aware that Snaco is a rare paring, and not a few times did the thought cross my mind that nobody would be waiting for my update, but thanks to the kind comments from my flist, I managed to keep on posting.

I recently had a chance to read a German gay novel, in which there was a passage referring to slashy thoughts regarding Harry Potter!
The story itself, whose rating can be assumed to be about R, is about a gay student who falls in love with a straight man, how they nurture their love, and, after many twists and turns, finally get "married." The novel is over all very, very fluffy. While I was reading this trilogy, in which the point of view alternates between the two main characters, I could not help wondering how many more times they would mention, "My God, am I in love with him!" or "Oh, I love him so!"; both of them! :)
I cannot deny that there are certain things in the story that bother me--such as "unnecessary dramatic accidents" in the plot, the fact that almost all the men end up turning gay (or they confess they had been gay all the time), and the author's German itself which does not seem to be the most sophisticated. And yet, I quite enjoyed the fiction, since it was my first time to read a German gay novel. :)

I'm so poisoned by slash. When I was reviewing a contract at work today, the words "assets" (If a receiver is appointed relating to either party's assets...) and "arise" (Any disputes or controversies which may arise between the parties...) were begging me to be read as slashy words, and I couldn't suppress a grin. Little "t"s and "i"s are important, aren't they? :P
