Dr. Navin Kumar is an Assistant Professor at Bharat College of Law, Kurukshetra, India, with a Doctorate in Law from Chaudhary Devi Lal University (CDLU), Sirsa, Haryana (2022). He holds an LL.M. in Criminal Law from Kurukshetra University (2012) and a B.A. L.L.B. from the same institution (2007). Dr. Kumar is NET-qualified (2012) and has been teaching since 2017, specializing in criminal law, evidence law, and human rights. His academic contributions are complemented by significant research, with publications in esteemed journals, including the International Journal for Multidisciplinary Research and Indian Journal of Law and Legal Research. His research covers diverse topics, such as the compensation and rehabilitation of rape victims, the legal aspects of acid attacks, and judicial responses to Khap Panchayats. Dr. Kumar has presented papers at various national conferences on topics like India-South Africa relations, water conservation laws, and judicial attitudes towards Khap Panchayats. The landmark Vishaka judgement outlined a set of guidelines for the prevention and redress of complaints by women of sexual harassment in the workplace. The small amount of available evidence suggests that sexual harassment in the workplace continues to be a common occurrence, typically perpetrated by a person in a position of authority; the majority of women do not take action or lodge an official complaint for fear of being dismissed, losing their reputation or facing hostility or social stigma in the workplace. The objective of this paper is to explore the context of sexual harassment of women in India as well as their working place.

The main focus of the debate has been weather euthanasia should be legalized or not. Euthanasia generally means a mercy killing. Contrary views and arguments exist in this regard. The present paper is a moderate attempt to examine these contrary arguments. The paper concludes with the observations that debate on euthanasia is still grappled with dilemma. This debate is continuing one as some people are of the view that the life is sacred and no one has got the right to end it whereas others say that life belongs to oneself so each person has got the right to decide what he or she wants to do with it even if it amounts to dying.

Whether to retain or to abolish the sentence of capital punishment has been a universal subject of endless debate, countless studies, several researches and plenty of experiments but no conclusion has been reached yet which can socially, morally and legally be accepted. Almost all states have two groups –one who supports the retention of capital punishment and other who argues to abolish it. Many are for its reintroduction while others are not. But mainly it depends on the country and their circumstances. Today United Nation Organization is also agreeing that the capital punishment should be banned, because it is against the morality as well as the legality. Now in this paper we will examine that the capital punishment should be given but only in rarest of rare cases.
