Iam all caught up. Is the game still going? I need to know what could happen next.
So far iam enjoying this game. Iam in ch2 right now. The story has me hooked. One question. Are there going to be side girls the MC can mess with and/or NTR? (Stealing another guy's girl)

Sometimes character icons won't be on the overworld map, look for them where you've seen them in the past, Lilac can be found in the clinic or downstairs if her icon's not visible most of the time.

im not at the end of the story yet so i dont know what happens but im really interested in hatsumi and izya but im pretty sure the last girl i have to discoverdoesnt have horns from the shadow so its likely not them.
either way ive played alot of VN and plan to make one of my own in the future and Demons of the Hearth is definetly one of the best ones ive played.

Your mistake is in assuming a visual novel is a game more than it is a story. The gameplay is choosing how to react to characters when they ask you a question or make you an offer, and when to interact with whom. Beyond that it is literally a novel. From the complaints I can only assume you've barely gotten through the prologue or you came into this expecting all sex all the time or something. This VN isn't that and that really isn't its selling point.
This is a story of political intrigue in a world of magic and modern at once.
There are choices. Choices you may even regret making for a long time, but this is not an arcade game that is played in the moment to moment.
This is an interactive book for people who actually like reading books.
It is a slow start, I will freely admit; the interesting part doesn't really get fully started until all the characters are met. Such is the price of a complicated setup.
But if you're not interested in learning about people more than putting things in their holes, you should probably check out a different game. Perhaps one that actually uses the word 'game' somewhere in its description.
And notably, Konvel does state right there in the description that you'll get plot with your plot.
Congrats friend, you've discovered the basis of the VN/AVN genre. That's pretty much it. It's not a go places do things game. It's a follow the story, get attached to the characters game.
We're not praising Konvel because they're making the next best call of duty rival. We're praising them because they're crafting a story with modern classical writing themes and a wide array of characters with choices that may or may not affect the story down the line.
Can the reading get tedious? Absolutely. But what we're here for is the story. And porn. A lot of us are here for the porn.
If you want AVNs with "game play", consider playing Wet Sand by Likho Games, Goddesses Whim by NCrow, or Alcyone Legends: Ilias by Alcyone Legends. All great great games, highly recommended personally with mini games, choices, and QTEs. But don't try and put down Konvel, who has been working on this, for YEARS, because you're bored with something that you're just not into.
okay it seems yall not understand my complain...the sand box mode sucks sorry I hate sandbox box...I love avn that just play as story and I have choices...example...eternum i love the game and I know how to keep play....in the hearth....go do I proceed? I just wanna play as in keep going...not being stuck telleporting talking about stupid stuff...like some of it is dumb...and has no character back ground much at all, the problem is the sand box mode...I wanna proceed....how long do I have to waist time in the sandbox mode? I wanna play the story...it was fine before hearth now it's just sand box and sandbox is boring always have been I like sory...idk why someone said I just want sex...I can watch video for that...I want to proceed not he stuck in lame ass sand box mode
Assumptions were made based on the extremely adversarial tone of both of your posts.
To progress you need to look at the hints in the menu. Sometimes the hints in the quick hint menu are more or less descriptive than the ones in the main menu and the individual girls' dossier pages. If your complaint is specifically about the need to fill up an invisible "get to know you better" gauge when they really have nothing to say, then I would agree that is a flaw in the tuning. However, if you've been trying to focus on one character, that's probably the major chokepoint you're hitting. Talk to everyone a little bit until they have the hint 'I need to X with Y first' at which point you can stop talking to them. Eventually you'll run out of people who don't have a hint like that and simply talking to the right person will set off a cascade of new event flags as long as you do them in the order of characters they're listed as depending on.
Be sure to also check the main menu for hints about progressing the main plot as sometimes you will need the world to be in a certain state to be able to activate new pending events. You can't deal with a serial killer when there haven't been any killings.
It's possible to get a little stuck. It's not perfect. Sometimes events will happen when you least expect it simply by entering a location even without a hint telling you its there.
Again I would agree that the hinting needs refinement.
I hope you can figure out the rhythm and enjoy the plot as it unfolds. But if you can't then... that's unfortunate. But maybe take a breath and remember civility if you don't want to fight in a war it seems to everyone else like you just started.
Incidentally, after getting to know everyone in the hearth is where I would say the most interesting part is. It's where all the gears start meshing... or grinding as they sometimes do.

Don't care about how long it takes now Konvel, you've got me hooked good. Glad I chose to try out Hearth, it's easily in my top three so far as VNs are concerned. Music, story, atmosphere, everything's off the charts. Here's to your continued health and prosperity, cannot wait to see what comes up next.

(Also upset me when I reached the end and several characters are no longer available to chat with, likely to return, but off limits at the cliffhanger. Annoyed about that, but in the end its proof I'm invested beyond surface level.)

Great game, but more on to it is the soundtrack, that makes everything feel alive (aside for the basic H-scene soundtrack) this story has great potential, from the story writing to the world you've built.
However i'm surprised to see that even if the MC is a ""new person" he doesn't seem to form a persona, if anything he feels pretty robotic in the way he acts and talks, as i understood about him he chose this path in the end but how come he doesnt have a flair if not through the decisions we make or will make, through the story.
Also on a more personal sidenote, would love to see Hatsumi scenes or as a potential romanceable character! love character alot but as i said its more a personal hope. And it would be really dope to see some more on the Boss expanding his Troupe, getting close to them earning their loyalty.
All in all i can't wait to see more on how the story unfolds, as a matter of fact im also considering becoming a Patreon to support this, it's simply way to good! came here for the premise (aka you being a demon lord) stayed for the amazing story that showed and didn't expect!
Keep at it, part of me hopes that Hatsumi becomes a romanceable character but hey a fan can dream! , and lots of love bro!

Just a couple of days ago the dev made a Patreon post apologizing, giving some explanations, and saying he's aiming for the first week of June as the release date for the next update.

"Thanks for checking in. The scenes I've been working on and compiling everything else into code have been taking a lot longer than I expected and leaving me feeling burnt, but I'll see this through."

This is one of the few games on this site that has a storyline. And this plot is really good ! I like the fact that the main character is not a warm fudge and does not succumb to every adversity he encounters. I also like the choice of music for the game, Peritune does a great job. I downloaded most of the tracks from his site that you used in the game :)

I'm new to Konvel and I downright love this. The only downside being the constant clicking involved despite the nature of the game, I've gotten straight hooked on the story. Just one question, what's the trend on updates? I want to know approximately how long I need to be patient for before I check in for some more.

Not at the moment. Moving forward, I'll most likely have separate repeatable scenes for each form, rather than duplicates like in the prologue.

Getting an update is awesome. However I'm stuck. All the girls info either says I should talk to them "after taking care of other important matters", or it says "after having dinner with the Ilvog sisters". No matter where I go or who I talk to I can't seem to trigger the "dinner with the Ilvog sisters" event! What am I missing here?
It sounds like you're in Chapter 2, which can be bugged if you updated in the middle of it. Otherwise, make sure you can't progress further in the main story or through extra objectives.
For any others that had this issue I was able to go back to an older version with the save from the newer version and it worked

It'll eventually happen just keep doing stuff for other characters you can figure out what to do for each of them by clicking their photo in the heart menu. It took forever for the event to trigger for me too.
